squeaky front brakes on Phantom 2 Years, 11 Months ago Karma: 0
I have a fairly new 2005 Phantom that has been in the shop, more than with me. It has had the front brakes bled and all parts replaced, but it still sqeaks very loudly. Anyone else have that problem or know of a possible solution? I will let my mechanics know of any new ideas, I believe they are out of ideas.

Thanks

They could be glazed, Use the front brake with care but with some good hard braking stops from speed you may get less noise from it, Once again use care,

disc brake quiet on the back of the pads worked for me... it may also be uneven wear, try filing down any raised edges and then use the disc brake quiet

Thank you 2 Years, 11 Months ago Karma: 0
Thank you for your replys. We did try the brake quiet but it didn\'t work. I will find out if it was used on the back side. There was a raised part that was shaved down and it worked for 20 or so miles, then squeaked again. The caliper was getting stuck sometimes and that was fixed but it still squeaks. The next step they are trying is ordering some different kind of brake pads that arent as shiny. If that doesn\'t work my scooter mechanics are out of ideas.

Any more ideas are appreciated. Thank you much.

mine squek too!!!! i hate it. I have tried the hard braking method to make it go away, and it does, only when you are breaking like a nascar driver though otherwise it is still there!!!
