Wow, built a custom cold air intake and it added, about 4 mph from WOT at 47mph, to 51 mph on the flats, WITH a decent cross wind. Hoping for a little more with no wind. Will run it like this for a while then put the clip on the Carb needle up one and see how it goes. Any ideas on how this will affect my mileage? Right now (pre custom intake) I am getting right at 92mpg or so. I figure it will lower my mileage a little. The new intake IS considerably louder than the old though. I left the old air box in place, because of all of the tubes running into it. Is that OK? Or can I get rid of it and just zip tie the tubes up? I know one is the blow by drain, so not sure what to do with that.
