PHANTERA HEADLIGHT CHANGE HELP!!! 1 Year, 8 Months ago Karma: 0
I'm new to this forum, and not extremely handy.

My headlights are out and cannot figure out for the life of me how to take out the existing headlight to change the darn thing. I used a mirror to try to figure it out, but it wouldn't budge.

Has anyone had this problem? Can anyone help me out?!?!

I don't want to spend 100$ just to have someone change my light bulb. Thank you so much!!!!!!

I am also in need of this information. I am a newb to this. I spent over an hour working on my bike attempting to change that darn thing. There appears to be a clip or something holding the headlight component in. I can not figure out how to get the thing loose. Surely there is a way to change this yourself without having to pay the money for a Mechanic to do it.

Vento should have an instruction manual for this types of easy jobs. Like a Chilton's Manual or something. It would make this a whole lot easier!

Thanks in advance for any & all help you guys (or gals) can give.

Sorry, I don't have a direct answer, but have you looked at the on-line parts manual? It might give you an idea where to look for the location of the screws.

The link below is for the on-line manual. Just enter in your year and model information.

Yeah I tried that. All that shows is the headlight assembly as it would look outside of the bike & where it goes. Not how to replace an individual headlight. I saw another post from a guy that owned a different model scooter as mine. In his case, he had to remove the panel on the backside of the steering column. That was only only way to gain access to the headlight & replace it. I fear I will have to do the same. I have already tried once. But time ran out & I was not able to get the panel to break loose. If & when it works, I will post the procedure so that others can benefit from my efforts.

Thanks for the response. It is appreciated.

Well, I have the answer because I did the change the headlights’ bulbs in my 2006 Vento Phantera two times and is not easy the first time.

These are the steps:
1)You need a screwdriver in order to take out the front panel (the plastic with the Vento logo), the windshield, and the instrument panel for having access to the back side of the headlight. Just be careful to not disconnect anything.
2)Then the thing goes easier: with the same screwdriver you can pull out a little metal wire in form of a rectangle without one side that is in the backside of the bulb. This piece only keeps in place each bulb. When that piece is out you just need to take out the old bulb and replace it with the new one.
3)Now you can put again the attachment rectangular wire piece, just be sure to press it strongly to put it in place. Then put all together again in reverse order (the instrument panel, the windshield and the front panel).

My recommendation is to change both bulbs if you don’t want to do it again very soon.

Good luck and don’t hesitate to tell me if I’m not very clear because English isn’t my first language!
