Vento Phantom stalling when warming up.... 3 Years, 2 Months ago Karma: 0
 I have an 04 Phantom 150 cc and when i first start in the morning it runs fine until i get about 1 mile from home then if a get stuck at a redlight and it idles for a min or so it wants to stall out like it is not getting gas when i start to take off again.. Sometimes even when the engine is warm it tends to try to stall out when i start to take off. i have repalce the vacumm hose from the carb to airfilter and also replaced the thermal choke..It has helpled the problem some but still runs crappy! I even idled it up alot more but no difference.. My email is This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Sounds like you need to adjust the idle fuel air mix screw on the carb.
Check the links section, under repairs for a phantom related maintenance site which I believe has some pictures of the procedure.

I\'ve also done a writeup on idle and fuel/air mix adjustment in the 50cc knowledgebase (maintenance). Much of the general information applies to any carb. You could also check some of the other repair links on the links page.

I assume that i only have an electric choke..I am not able to adjust the choke correct? I looked at the carb and only noticed a screw for the idle adjustment. I have looked at other diagrams but do not see any kind of idle/air adjustment on my carb.

The choke can\'t be adjusted. There is a fuel/air mix screw on there somewhere. Anyone else here familiar with the Phantom carb?

The air fuel mix is on the left side of the carb (as you sit on the bike). It takes a small flatbed screwdriver.
