Hello all, this is my first post, so go easy on me.

So I recently got a Zip r3i from my uncle (he's loaning it to me) and it wasn't in too bad condition. It's a 2004 model, and the battery needed a serious charge. So I rode it around for a few days, and it would feel like it was about to die more and more when I came to a stop, so I figured it was a problem with the idle screw. I charged the battery overnight, and checked the level of liquid in the battery to make sure it was good.

So one morning I go and turn it on, and turning the idle screw 1/2 a turn at a time, slowly turned it in, and out again, and couldn't find a better position than it was already in. But when I put back in the original position it would hardly stay on at all. Then I messed with the mix screw, and basically screwed everything up.

I took apart the Carb, cleaned it out, but now it won't start at all.

Can someone help me out? What are the default settings for the idle and mix screw, and when it says, X amount of turns, does that mean screw the screw in all the way, and then make X full rotations out?
btw, why couldn't the scoot be starting?

well did you check all the lines?
and usually the mix screw should only go about 1-1.5 turns out if your moped is still stock.
and check your reed valves if anything is blocking it.
