Headlight 1 Year, 7 Months ago Karma: 0
Just bought an RX8 for the wife, and she loves it. Anyway, question is whats with the tiny bulb in the head light housing? My low beam and high beams work great. That little light doesn\'t come on at all. What gives?

I have a Vento Triton and have the same headlight. The small light bulb is for the parking light, in other words the daylight. If you put the switch to the middle it should turn it on.

My Triton Li lights work well enough in town but leave the street lights and it gets too dark for me. The passing position on the switch works ok but high beam alone leaves too much in the dark for me. saw an advert for a bigger bulb for the R4 can anyone tell me if there is something you have tried that you like. An LED perhaps?

The low beam and high beam for the scooters tend to be aimed a little high. If you reach up into the front faring, there is a knob you can turn for aiming the headlight. I believe turning it to the right adjusts the aim down. You should be able to make it so that the low beam actually works well for a low beam light, and the high beam works properly for high beam, similar to how they would work for a car. They still won't be as bright as something like a HID lamp (High Intensity Discharge) but it'll be decent for what it is.

Thanks Bluedominion will try that in the morning. I would be happy with Halogen performance.
