Clutch Assembly 2 Months ago Karma: 0
I've been trying everything to remove my Clutch Assembly so I can change the springs.
First I tried a large pair of Channel locks, but they slip.
Second I tried a strap wrench, same result.
last I made a homemade spanner wrench out of 1/8"x2" steel, with 5/16" bolts through it. I bent the steal and the bolts.
I can't figure out why this was assembled so tight, or how I can get it apart.
Any ideas?

Rick

The instructions I've read all say to use an impact wrench. I found my electric one for $20 on ebay. They also come in air, 12v, and cordless versions. Often available pretty cheap at discount tool sellers too.
