I have a 2005 Triton R-4 with about 4,200 miles on it. I haven\'t had any problems with it (other that the low beam lights have never worked), except for a leaky valve stem. I do keep it garaged at night and covered during the day, so the plastics seem to be in good shape. I change the tranny fluid every 500 miles or so. Keeping my fingers crossed!!

Now my buddy that sold his Triton had the bad rubber thing going on,
2005 less than 600 miles.

We have had pretty good luck with our Vento Triton r-4 2 stroke models.
I have one customer that is now at 18,000 miles.
It had a new piston put in at 15,000 miles.
and has had 1 belt ,gas/vac lines, and brakes replaced.
I havnt seen any Honda, Yam 49cc scooters with those kind of miles
on them around here...

Good morning,

I am relatively new to the scooter world and I am trying to gather
information on "inexpensive& quot; new scooters.

Can anyone recommend a Chinese or Taiwanese scooter, that from their
own personal experience(s) would they say is/was a well running
machine

that was built well? If so, please list the scooter manufacturer and
the model number.

In addition, if there are "infamously& quot; bad or poorly made scooters

there please let me know of these companies as well.

Thank you very much.

My wife\'s 06 RX200 is going through the weird rubber thing at 600
miles..We only had it since April. It also has carb(enrichener, hose
from carb to air box shot) and front brake issues( noise, cheap pads
and the master cylinder binds) I am awaiting warranty replacement
parts..I hope it to last a while since she is not a hard rider..It is
kept outside under cover..God Bless You..K

Let me make a recomendation and please don\'t take this the wrong way. Get rid of it.
I owned the same bike for around 4 months. I purchased it brand new and watched it very quickly self destruct. One problem after another. I had a wheel wobble at 35-40 MPH that the dealer replaced the wheel and tire, didn\'t help. It would also have the anoying habit of DYING at 60 MPH in TRAFFIC!!! This would happen when the gas tank was at half a tank.
Rear brakes that may as well not even been there, Numerous other little problems lead me to believe that this was a real POS.
I sold mine with a little over 1300 miles for 800.00.I now ride a Honda and couldn\'t be happier.
If you can get someone to buy it, do so and get yourself a good used Kymco, Honda, or Genuine. The time and effort you will waste with this Strada will not be worth it.
If you can find a Used Genuine Buddy, 125c, they are great bikes.

Good Luck

Bill
