I have 300 miles on my RX200HP. All was well, and suddenly my scoot
started lurching during steady driving, suddenly decelerating by 1-15
mph. WIthin a few minutes, it got to the point where I had no
acceleration. I basically putter along at WOT. If I let off the
throttle, it idles OK, but I go to WOT, and I peak at about 12 mph.

I also noticed that I have a little blackish smoke coming out of the
exhaust when I open up the throttle. Not sure if that was normal prior to the loss of power, but the scooter is now unrideable (if it\'s not a word, it should be...).

Any ideas? Plug has some carbon built up, replaced it, but no help. I fear I may have blown a ring? How can I get repairs or
parts? I\'m not sure if I have any warranty hope--the bike is only
three months old.

Take out your Bucket under the seat and make sure your Fuel Lines and Fuel filter are not pinched or bent in any way. Too much of an angle can cause a Vacuum Lock,

I took a look, but will check again.
It idles OK, just loses power when I open the throttle...

3 months old its under warranty, Unless you bought it from a crappy
dealer.

I had the same problem.
When I would go Wide Open at 55 - 60 MPH, it would all of the sudden lose power like somebody pulled the plug. Pull over and then go on my way like nothing happened.
Keeping the Gas tank Full at all time helps too.
This was just one of the reasons I got rid of my RX200HP. A little Scary in Traffic doing 50+ and your motor just dies... NOT FUN!
