Hello All, I have just put on 2,000 very enjoyable and
trouble free miles on my Vento Phantera 2006. While
riding today the scooter stalled on me 3 times. The
oil and gas are fine. When I was stopped at a red
light and as I attempted to accelerate at the green,
it sputtered and then stalled. On one occasion I even
heard a slight "backfire" from the exhaust. Again my
scooter has been trouble free since day one (June
2006)Could this be a clogged fuel line? I adjusted the
idle so I know it\'s not that. Any help would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks.

Check the plastic intake manifold between the carburetor and the engine for looseness or cracks. Then check your coil wires for looseness.

I\'d second Bob\'s suggestion. Sounds like a crack may have developed
in the rubber intake manifold - all too common on these after 1-2 years.
