Well i am suggesting adding a space for a \"Flea Market\" or other name you guys want to give...In that area we can post stuffs that we have for sale and stuffs we need to buy.....

i\'ve been using forums like 8 years of my life....game forums..car forums...hobby forum...etc ..and i think is a good idea

just my 2 cents

That\'s actually a pretty good idea.

There will be a bunch of new stuff when we either get a hdd upgrade or a server upgrade..

A few things I\'ve been thinking of:

1) Where to buy / reputable dealers section
2) Vento Owners Registry (maint logs, pix, etc)
3) File area and or photo/video gallery (unlimited space)

It\'s important to me that people who come to this site find an excellent, trustworthy resource, they should have a good experience with anyone I link to or make reference to on the site. Accurate information, reputable dealer referrals, etc.

I\'ll add it, but I have to require registered users to post there, to help filter out possibly unscrupulous posts. \\/

You can select some moderators...that will be helping you and monitoring those topics to their own section

For example ..if someone post a thread about selling anything in the general section..we can transfer that post to the Flea Market section and kepp doing these on the others sections threads, so in that way we will have a better organized forum

you doing a great work

just my 2 cents

I think that Hot Shoe Tom, and Sporty can help you with that for a start

when the forum grows, you\'ll see who fills the \"profile\" and has the experience to do that, since not all know how to actually do it.

my other 2 cents

The overall board is going to be as unmoderated as possible.

As long as everyone is getting along pretty well and there are no dealer ads posted in any forum without prior approval, I\'m cool. The VentoScooters group doesn\'t allow any ads period.

As far as moderators, Sporty is already modding the VentoScooters Group on Yahoo and on here, I am running thru everything else. If the board gets big enough where I am taking up too much of my day managing the forums, I\'ll worry about moderators at that point.

Right now it\'s pretty low volume, everywhere but the vento group, we\'ll see how it looks in 30-60 days.

Thanks for the suggestions guys

Hi Rob, hi All,

1) My congrats! This site is developing into one of the best scooter sites on the web.

2) Why not allow professional sellers/dealers to post on the \"Flea Market\"?
I think the forum is quick enough to react to bogus / fake / scam offers and messages, and it would save us end-users the endless, and sometimes futile searches on the WWW.

3) If a \'pro\' wants to advertise, he/she could indirectly sponsor this forum with a small ad fee. Two birds with one stone...

4) It\'d mean more work for you, Rob, but on the other hand the benefits far outweigh the hassles.

Keep it vertical, and the rubber side down!

Saludos,

Haymo :8
