I talked with the Keeway folks at the dealer expo. They\'re just getting established here in the USA, and said they only had a few dealers at the time of the Expo. They expect to have 50 dealers in the USA by the end of the year, and after talking with a representative of the company, I believe that\'s probably a realistic goal. Keeway is owned by QianJiang, and have their main R & D facilities located in Europe.
I think that the chinese scooter market here is going to be very interesting to watch over the next three to five years. Keeway sells products developed for QianJiang distribution as their own brand, which are supposed to be the upper tier of QianJiang products, many of which have never been see here before. I believe Chinese factories gaining control over their own brands, scooter, motorcycle, and parts distribution, and factory involvement in dealer networks is the future of the chinese motorcycle and scooter market here. With the current mess in the chinese motorcycle and scooter market, I think a shake out is already overdue, and this is the beginning of it. QianJiang isn\'t the only one doing this. American Lifan is doing the same thing, and CFMoto is taking steps in that direction also.
