Sporty's instructions for removal / replacment of a 150cc scooter drive belt

To remove the drive belt.
First get two strong hands, and be carefull,
Be sure to press on the kick starter shaft as you pull the cover off, The shaft stays on the engine, This will prevent the kick start spring from flying off and creating another repair issue.

#1-First pull the cover off while pressing the kick starter shaft in so the kick start spring won�t fly off, The kick starter shaft stays on the motor.
#2-Pull the rear pulley halves to the maximum width with both hands.
#3- Now hold the pulley with your right hand and with your left hand get the belt into the bottom of the rear pulley.
#4- Now stretch the top of the belt as far as you can over the top of the variator outside pulley and rotate the belt by pulling the belt and turning the rear pulley.
#5- Once you have hooked a fan blade with the belt just walk the belt off by rotating the rear pulley and pulling the belt.

To reinstall the belt.
Put the belt on so you can read the text Box on the belt.
#1- Get the belt into the rear pulley as far as it will go buy using Step #2 to remove the belt.
#2- Stretch the belt and hook a fan blade on the variator with the belt.
#3-Once you have hooked a fan blade on the variator with the belt just walk the belt on by rotating the rear pulley and pulling the belt.
#4- Replace the cover on the drive unit, You may have to tap the shaft and cover to get it on all the way.
