Instructions for the proper use of the remote, and the various functions of the alarm explained.  This information mainly applies to Ventos, but there are manufacturers which use the same type of alarm on other scoots.

Short Press Once

The direction light flashes  once and the alarm chirps. The alarm will be activated automatically  after 3 seconds
 

  1. Pre-Alarm - Upon touch the direction light will flash once and  the alarm will chirp
  2. Economical Alarming - Upon repeated touch within 3 seconds of  pre-alarm, the alarm will start beeping, the directional lights will flash, and the motor is disabled and will not start.

The direction light flashes  twice, the alarm chirps twice and the alarm status is deactivated.

Under quiet alarm status the alarm does not chirp.

The alarm is paused and will remain armed.

Short Press Once

The motor (if running) or  ignition (if not running) will be turned off. There is a 3 second  delay after this operation in which the remote can't be used.

Press Twice

Press once and the  direction lights will come on, press again within 3 seconds to start the scooter.

You can hold it down on the second press to make the starter stay engaged and release the button when the scooter is running.

NOTE: As stated in the documentation for the scooter, you should not  attempt an electric start (engage the starter) for more than 5 seconds at a time.

Quiet Alarm


Press at the same time

The direction light flashes  once, the horn does not beep, and quiet alarm status is activated in 3 seconds.

Pre-alarm - Upon touch the direction light flashes once and the horn does not beep.

Quiet alarm - Upon repeated touch within 3 seconds of pre-alarm,  the direction lights will flash for 15 minutes, the alarm does not beep, and the motor is disabled and will not start.

Adjust Alarm Sensitivity


Press at the same time

Under sensitivity adjustment the alarm chirps once and the direction lights stay on.

Once this  mode is activated the alarm sensitivity setting is reset to medium (the alarm has 7 settings, meaning on a scale of 1-7 it would be set  to a 4)

Press once, the direction light flashes once, the alarm  short-chirps once, the alarm sensitivity setting is raised one  level.

Press once, the direction light flashes once, the alarm  short-chirps once, the alarm sensitivity setting is lowered by one  level.

Once you get over the lowest setting (four levels lowered) or  over the highest setting (four levels raised) the lights will flash  twice, the alarm will chirp twice, indicating the adjustment failed.

Once you set the sensitivity to the desired level press , the directional lights will flash  3 times and the alarm  will chirp 3 times indicating the the sensitivity setting has been saved.

"ScooterJacking" Mode


Press at the same time

The direction light flashes  once, the alarm chirps once, 5 seconds later the alarm will go off, the direction lights will constantly flash, and the motor will turn  off and be disabled.

Press once to disengage.
