Instructions for the functions of common controls found on the handlebar
Here you see the controls on the left side of the handlebars. There are three buttons, the high / low beam switch, the turn signal switch, and the horn. A - Push this button to the top to turn on the high beams B - Push and hold down all the way to the bottom to turn on the passing lights (it will turn on the high and low beams) C - Slide of the left to turn on the left turn indicator D - Slide to the right to turn on the right turn indicator E - Push this button to cancel (turn off) the turn indicator F - Push this button to sound the horn Here you see the controls on the right side of the handlebars. Once again there are three switches. One is the kill switch, then the headlight switch, and the starter button. A - Push this button towards the top to activate the kill switch When this switch is activated the engine will not start, even if the ignition is turned on using the key or the remote. B - Push this button towards the bottom to deactivate the kill switch. When this switch is activate the engine will be enabled and the scooter will start or run using the key or the remote C - Sliding the headlight switch all the way to the left turns the headlights on (only when running) D - Sliding the headlight switch to the middle position will turn on the parking lights (only when running) This means the tail lights and a small bulb will illuminate in the headlight reflector (not the headlight bulb) will turn on E - Sliding the headlight switch all the way to the right will turn off the headlight or parking lights It is ILLEGAL in most states to run without a headlight burning on a motorcycle/moped/scooter during the day. Personally, I wouldn't suggest riding without headlights, people have a hard enough time seeing you, anything you can do to make you more noticeable on the road can lessen your chances of an accident. F - Push and hold this button to start the scooter. This button only works when you press the rear brake lever (left hand side) at the same time Discuss this article on the forums. (0 posts) |
